New Mexico based investment firm Thornburg has announced the launch of an Equity Long/Short UCITS fund. The strategy dates back to 2008 and has been running both in a managed account and in a US mutual fund form. Thornburg aims to create alpha with superior stock selection both on long and short side. The Fund applies a bottom-up, fundamental security selection approach to select a high conviction portfolio of 30 to 40 stocks on both long and short side of the book.
